RLV OracleArt Lift-Off

The primary goals of RLV OracleArt are to promote artistic development, public outreach and art preservation in southern Arizona. RLV OracleArt builds on a long tradition of public outreach at Rancho Linda Vista community of artists in Oracle, Arizona, including the RLV gallery, the guest artist program, the sponsored guest artist residency and the Summer Youth Workshop, which for 7 years has provided creative programs for children for free.

RLV OracleArt will build on this history by fostering innovative cultural projects, expanding public art education and supporting art preservation. Towards this end, we have recently purchased the old RLV horse barn, a 4,000 square foot structure on 3.8 acres in Oracle. This property will allow us to host workshops, performances, artist residencies and studios, as well as a library and office space. Future plans include creating art storage and preservation facilities that will meet a growing local need, while providing a revenue stream for the foundation.

The RLV OracleArt Lift-Off, a full-day celebration sponsored by the Bruce McGrew estate that included art workshops, live art auction, historic house tours, live music and Mexican buffet, raised over $20,000 towards the purchase of the RLV horse barn.
